I have purchased a Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro (adhesive) [hot Pink/green color]
and am having a dickens of a time using it! I can use it successfully about 3 or 4 times, then it won't work. I end up pushing down so hard I think my arm is gonna break off. I know it's not supposed to do that. I even threw out 2 cartridges and purchsed another..... every one is the same, so I know it's me!There's a little wheel-like gadget on it that I am convinced is the key to better use, but for the life of me, I cannot seem to figure it out. ANy suggestions?

I hope these two articles by Heather Fuentes and myself can help !

The wheel is to stop the gun to unravel too much for precision application. You just press it and it will release only a couple of adhesive-tabs.

No suggestions, but I've been having the same problem! Glad to see it isn't me, but the product! I've been using the wheel to advance the glue to the tip, but I have to do it every time. I've e-mailed the company, I'll let you know what they say.

I received a wonderful response to my e-mail. Mrs. T, I suggest you go to their website and send an e-mail. They are sending me a replacement cartridge with an envelope to send the one I'm having problems with back to them. Good customer service goes a long way to keeping me a repeat customer. That's one of the great things about Paper Wishes, too!

Penny I was just going to tell you the same thing. Email them. I have never had a problem with it. I have small hands so this ATG is a perfect size for me.

So, Karenliz,
Do you have to do anything with the green wheel on it? It doesn't even touch the runner tape that I can see... in fact, it's separate from it, unless I do push it in, but then it comes right back out.....so I don't understand how it helps any. How do you get yours to work? Be specific !

As previously mentioned on my post above, the green wheel is there to stop the big wheel to move if one wants just to release a couple of adhesive tabs. It stops the wheel moving forward to avoid wastage. Hope that helps !

Mrs. T. I forgot to post earlier - there is a short video on the glue arts website if you are having problems with the glider. I push in and hold the green wheel to move my tape forward so I can use it. The cartridge I've been having problems with I need to do that each time - please try that. I also hope you did contact the company as I suggested to get a replacement cartridge.
This is part of the e-mail I got from the company - maybe this will help: It is important to make sure all the adhesive dots transfer off of the liner and onto your project when using the Hightac. If too many of these adhesive dots roll back into the reserve wheel, it can become sticky on the gears and cause the cartridge to become hard to turn and possibly lock up completely. I found that when I use the Hightac the best way that I make sure to get all the dots off the liner and onto my project is to apply a slight bit more or firm pressure and roll the adhesive on slowly to my project.
One other suggestion you could try to rethread your cartridge. It might just need a fresh restart to roll more easily again. Here is a link to a short 2 minutes video that makes it very easy to rethread. I broke my liner one time and had to figure out how to rethread mine so I wouldn't waste all the adhesive that I still had left. http://www.gluearts.com/provideo.html
I don't have any other suggestions, but maybe these will work!

I was having the same problem with mine. I loved mine until the original cartrige ran out and I had to replace it. Then I started haveing the same problems mentioned. They sell them at my local scrapbooking store. So I went there aremed with my glue glider. The owner and I tried everything we could think of. Then she went over and got two new cartriges. The glue on one was repositional the other was permanent. First we tried the repositional and the same problem was occuring. Next we tried the permanent. It worked like a charm. I have not had a single problem since.
