Adhesives/glues help

I am working on some papier mache easter eggs, with scenes in them. My adhesives/glue efforts are not producting the results I would like. Any suggestions? I have tried Tack 2000 and Super 77. HELP!

For that type of art project I like to use mod podge or Martha stewerts new clear glue that comes with a brush.

I also love MS glue that is supposed to be used with glitter. It's wonderful. And how about some glue dots? They are really tacky and stick right away, but they hold well too. Hope this helps.
