I have been reading this board for several months and have enjoyed the new techniques and all the information that it has. I have been to other boards and nothing matches the family atmosphere that is here.

So, I wanted to introduce myself. I am a grandmother to three, 1 teenage boy-one almost teen-and last but not least 1 spoiled little lady. I love animals and have 2 house cats, 1 stray mom cat and her brood of 6 in my garage. I have a wonderful husband who really dislikes my scraproom and doesn't like what I buy. So, I buy anyways and just don't talk about it!!

I found PW 3 yrs. ago and basically do not buy anything except from them. I am a cardmaker and just love their products and their mission statement. I have been a VIP for several years!!!

I do have one request. I was with my SIL yesterday when shse had to put her dog to sleep. I did that three times and haven't had the guts to get a new dog since. I was sent a wonderful e-mail from a friend about the "Rainbow Bridge". I so want to make a card for her with that on the front.

Do anyone of you have access to this-or know where I can go?
Thanks Bunches!!!

Welcome to the MB. I think everyone will agree that we are definitely one big happy family here. Everyone is so helpful and wonderful. Join in the swaps when you can as they are a lot of fun too!! Sorry to hear about your SIL's dog, that is never easy to deal with. Unfortunately I do not know anything about the Rainbow Bridge, but I am sure someone will be able to help you.

Debby welcome to the message board. It is just like one big happy family here. Can't wait to see all your cards. If you go to rainbowsbridge.com you will be able to find that poem. Actually if you google it, you can find it in quite a few places.

Welcome, Deby! Rainbow bridge is a great place to go if you are grieving for a pet. I was told about it 9 yrs. ago when I lost my Sara Kitty. It was a big help. I think your SIL will find comfort from the poem. We have become one big family here. We share fun, ideas, laughter, tears & if we have a question, we ask. Please come join us when you can. Judi

I do have the poem! There is actually a rubber stamp available from Purrs and Pants with it too. I have a card made with their picture of the rainbow bridge also on my Etsy site. Here's the card I made: http://www.etsy.com/listing/45856006/rainbow-bridge-pet-sympathy-card

The poem reads:

"Just this side of heaven, only a step away,
Is a place called the Rainbow Bridge where your pet has gone to play.

No more sickness or disease, no more tired aches or pains,
Your furry friend has a place where all worries shall wane.

Sunny fields to romp and play, and furry friends to meet,
But your friend will always listen for the sound of approaching feet.

Your friend will run to meet you, reunited once more!
And together cross the Rainbow Bridge through Heaven's Door.

Welcome Debby, this is a very friendly place. My daughter is an emergency vet and has to deal with people's pets dying every night. I don't know how she does it. I certainly couldn't!
You will like it here. we're a big family!

I'd like to know about selling on Etsy too. I haven't had much luck but never tried selling cards there.

It's been kind of slow. I've only had 15 sales there so far. I'm trying to get into some local craft shows and looking into advertising that I may be able to afford just to get the word out that I exist. Etsy's great but you have to consider most of the people there can make their own things. So, I need to get the word out to BUYERS not MAKERS. I'm also looking into consignment possibly - not too sure about having to give a % to someone else, but if I can get a good relationship with a couple of local groomers or vets, I'm thinking that could be beneficial too.

15? lets see, let me do the math . . . wait for it, wait for it . . . Thats 15 more than you sold on Etsy before you started there . . . right? Good job, Nancy!

That's true Dee! And I do think I will have repeat customers. Everyone said they were really happy with their purchases. I think I just have to get the word out. People just don't know I'm there yet. And Robin, thank you for your compliment!
