Does anyone else have difficulty find the right sentiment for the inside of the card? Seems I can find tons and tons of stuff for the outside, but nothing for the inside. Hints, tips, tricks, all ideas are welcome!!!

I have a binder that I keep quotes and sayings that I hear or read. They are grouped according to type; birthday, sympathy, general, friendship, etc... I also have a Star Trek quotes book that works for me on occasion (I am a one of those! Trekker, Trekkie, whatever the current handle is!) :p

I jot down quotes that I like, I also use internet sites that have verses and poems for all occasions. Hope this helps. :) Trish

 uh-oh here we go - I'll probably get kicked off the MB now. I too have trouble with the sentiment inside the card - but luckily - I'm a pack rat. I bet I've saved every stinking Hallmark I've gotten since adulthood (and we won't go THERE), so I guess you can tell where this is headed already. :o

You know what? Now that I think about it, I don't ever put text inside the card. I only do a small design to coordinate with the card front. I usually just write my message there and not include an inside the card sentiment. How about that as a way to solve the problem? :D
Or, how about a simple work like, "Enjoy!" which covers most occasions.

I like using the booklets of Cardmaker's Card Quotes, which Paper Wishes sells. The quotes are printed in some decorative fonts, so I don't have to hassle with that. Each page has two coordinating quotes or sayings (and sometimes three) that you cut or tear out and can decorate with chalk, ink, or whatever. This way, the quote on the front of the card is continued or supported by the quote on the inside of the card. They are available in themes such as birthday, friendship, love, thank you, and so on. I made several cards this afternoon using these quotes. :D
I also leave plenty of room of the inside in case I want to write something additional.

I do a mix of both sentiments and quotes that have touched me. I pull inspirational quotes from the various magazines I get and then put them in a file I keep in my computer to pull on from time to time. I'll go out on the internet and look for quotes for various occasions. I also use verses and scriptures from the Bible that touch my heart.
I usually do a personal note when it is to my family or close friends. It can be as simple as one word or detailed to let them know how they have touched my life.
Hope this helps!
One of the hardest things to do in my book is put in a sentiment. But when you find the right one you just know it. When I do put one in I usuallly stay with smaller one liners and let the hand note you write inside be the real message.

I keep a list of quotes from cards I have received or that strike my fancy on my computer, sorted by theme (birthday, thank you, etc.) so I can print one off when I need it. I can change the font and color when I print it on whole page labels, then I can just cut it out and stick in on the inside of my card :)

I mostly stamp a sentiment inside of the card.

I do, but not because I don't have anything to say. My trouble is that I spend so much time decorating the front like a mini scrapbooking page that I then think the inside is a snore :(

:)Glad you asked.I can always come up with a saying on my own.I just let it come from my heart.:)I also have a few books of sayings for all occasions.I also get sayings from magazines or other places as some of you have described here. And to keep them in order I have written them on an index card and have numbered them so as to not send the same saying to the same person twice.I went to a dollar store and bought a small photo album the same size as the
index cards and as I find sayings I write them on the cards and as I said I number them. You can get more than one saying on a card as I do or you can use 1 card per saying.I log everything into a tablet with 5 different sections to keep order to my card making. It pays to take the time to organize, organize,
organize.Once you have put your work area in order, which includes, numbering your sayings, numbering your stamps, putting items you use most close at hand, putting other less used items in another area ,etc you should have a smooth running system. This is my system that I have been using for 3 years now and I like how I can find things quickly because as I said,I organize, organize, organize!!! ~Sandra~

If all else fails, go to a website that features greeting cards and read what they suggest.

Here is a website I use. http://versalog.com/v/ They have everything from birthdays, belated birthdays, sympathy etc. I have formatted card templates in Word and then I copy/paste the sentiment in my card and run through the printer. This allows me the option to change the font and or the color of the font. Have a great day.

I never put sentiments twice. I put it on the front card or inside the card and then I handwrite a few words.
