As most of you know, I help with our women's ministry at our church. We normally meet the first Saturday of the month and our group is called "Sweet Saturday."

Our committee consists of myself and 3 of my very closest girlfriends, who also share a love for paper crafting . . . (I am very lucky to have them in my life . . we are ALL enablers!!)

Our events usually involve some sort of paper crafted decoration, center piece, favor, etc and the 4 of us have a great time coming up with the ideas and making the project.

I wanted to share the one that one of the girls did for our ladies this past month . . . I would love to take credit for it, but I was just one of the lucky recipients, but I still wanted to share it. Last Christmas we asked all of our ladies to bring their favorite Christmas cookie along with the recipe and this brown paper bag book was the result!!!

I have shown just a few pages, but just wanted to show you a great project to do . . . thanks for looking! (sorry some of the photos are crooked - I forget to straighten them up before I uploaded them!

Thats really neat. I love brown bag books and hadn't thought of it as a cookie recipe book. Great idea!

Thank you for sharing. I use the white lunch bags for cards. I made my neighbor a paper bag album for Christmas last year. Never thought of making one into a receipe book. Will have to add that to my list of to do's. judi

Judi, how do you use the lunch bags for cards - I can't picture it. I have got a ton of them and I'd like another way to use them. Thanks in advance!

I just realised that I never posted my comment, was sure I had...anyways what a great idea Dee, it could even become a family heirloom too!

Like some of the other comments, it's been awhile since I've seen the brown bag book idea used...actually the last time I saw a project with one it was probably connected to an ECE literacy workshop or class. (the thicker paper is more difficult for little ones to tear and since paper bags are a great recyclable product; bags become a low-cost way to create early level picture books....)

I may have to recycle this idea, too, and give it a keepsake scrapbook twist of creativity!

Thanks, Bootsie. Got the idea from watching a scrapbooking program on QVC when they were still doing crafts. Of course, there weren't any directions given so I made up my own. I do have trouble finding the white lunch bags though. Judi
