Paper Wishes monthly card kit? I was wondering if you learn new techniques or is it mostly embellishments. Thanks in advance Karen

I get the monthly kit, and I love it! I wouldn't say you learn a new technique with every kit, but there is quite a variety of cool cards to make, and plenty of leftover supplies to make your own creations. Some of the kits have templates that are so cool to use.

I enjoy my kit. You get to try different embellishments. And sometimes you get a template. One time we got the entire nature quote book. The cards only used a few quotes so tons left over. I love the shaped cards. It's fun getting a box of perfectly matched goodies each month.

It's the most cost effective way to try new products in the HOTP without having to buy the full kits. So you can try a few brads without spending top dollars for a packet of 10-20, having said that once you try some of the new items then you will want to purchase more because you know you like them and need some more ! :D
You have 10 cards to make every month and I usually manage to make 4-5 more cards with leftovers (obviously I use my own cardstock for the base card for the extra cards). There's a leaflet that explains how to make the cards and it's easy to understand.
Sometimes as Cathynurse mentioned you get little extras such as templates, booklets of ephemera cut-outs....and boy do I like those surprises.
Unfortunately I had to suspend my sub temporarily as the British Sterling is so weak against the dollar (but things are looking up) as I'm unemployed I've got to save every single penny. But once the exchange is favourable again, you can bet anything I'll be back re-subscribing ! :)

We also have a website for our Personal Shopper programs.
http://www.paperwishesps.com
"You’ll have papers, matching embellishments and a 6-page mini magazine so you can make 10 handmade cards."
The mini magazines are great for finding new techniques or ideas.
If you have more detailed questions, Debbie (mailto:dsamples@hotp.com) is always happy to answer them as well.

I have been hearing so much about the monthly card kit. I think I am going to have to brake down and order it. I have not heard anything negative about it>

Yes, you really should! I love getting mine! Lately I have been taking mine to work and doing some on my lunch, and all the gals are just so intrigued by what I'm doing! :D

I've been in the club for about 2 years & just love it. I love getting my kit each month. Almost like Christmas. I've enjoyed trying new products and find that I'm spoiled for any other card making club. I'd say if you like making cards this is a great way of learning new things and getting to try some of the great products from Paper Wishes. Judi
I received the monthly card kit for over a year and loved it. The only reason I stopped it was I was also getting the scrapbook kit and just did not have the time to keep up with both. I do miss not getting it and my card supply has certainly gone down. I really can not think of anything negative about the kits. You usually get a variety of different type cards in each kit (birthday, thank you, Christmas etc). If you like doing cards you will like the kit

:)I haven't joined that club as of yet because I bought a bunch of clearance crafts items from HSN and I still have a bunch of it to be used before I buy anymore. But it sounds like a great idea!!

Yes how funny that HSN sells some of the HOTP stuff but in the UK it's QVC ! :p
I do like getting those huge bumper's kit. I have three Christmas ones everytime there's a special I just order straight away. And Sara visited London a few times too.
