Hi Beav - so glad you joined us!!! What part of the UK are you from? Having trouble getting boy embellishments, or having trouble coming up with embellishments that aren't decidedly feminine??? Honestly, I make a lot of my own embellishments. Buttons are cool embellishments that are neither masculine or feminine - color dictating of course. Rugged looking sewing trims can easily take the place of ribbon on something masculine. ONe thing you have to understand though - I'm a little NUTS when it comes to embellishments - I frequently browse through the local hardware store for interesting things. And I've found quite a few. Metal. I once strung yarn on a page from end to end and hung some totally cool looking metal washers. On a less drastic note, 7-Gypsies carries a huge line of metal embellishments that look GREAT on a mascule page. For a younger male - I always turn to Paper Wishes, they've got a very large assortment of wonderful boy embellishments. Machine stitching in black is another fav. of mine for a mascule page. Simple geometric shapes with "screw" head brads makes a big impact, too. SOMEBODY STOP ME! :o Hope you can get something from all this gibberish.

Welcome--
I make some masculine cards and found that using some darker reds and browns automatically turns almost everything masculine. I made a set of cards that were the same, but different embellishments and asked my husband to pick his favorite and he said that one with the bow was the best and he would love to get one (he is in no way feminine at all.) I think it was just the colors that made it look more manly. I didn't like the card too much, but here is the example.
