Suggestions, please

Does any one remember the old scrapbooks we used to have that had black covers and black pages on the inside? With my new Your Story, it came with black binders. One I'm thinking of making into a school days book. Another one that I'm thinking of making is using the black binder as the scrapbook cover and putting black pages on the inside. I'm stuck with for ideas on how to decorate the pages. I'm thinking of trying to sell both books. Any suggestions on how to decorate the black pages would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help. Neon colors look really cool on black. Also, I like white and turquoise.

Thanks, Nancy. I never thought of those colors. I want to leave a place for a photo on each page. I'm going to have fun playing with the pages first then the Your Story. Judi

I think the colors might depend on the theme or look: if you want a nostalgic look or do you want contemporary/modern? Do you want to gear the 'book' for guys or gals?

I sort of want a nostalgic look. More like an old family album. That's what I remember about them. Sitting in one of my favorite aunt's kitchen the night before my father's funeral looking through old albums. Mostly of relatives that I didn't know. It was sort of old lookling and fragile looking but special. I know that didn't make much sense but that's how I remember it. Judi

Great idea red or brown & cream look great with black too Judi.

There are few colors that don't go nicely with black -- just depends on the look you want.

For a nostalgic look you might want to go with muted tones of brown, red, blue, green, purple, etc. and lighter colors for contrast to pique the interest.

Of course, it depends what you mean by nostalgia. If nostalgia for you is the 1960's & 1970's lets go with neon colors!!!! :D
