Try this for a VERY unique embellishment. Using the Marvy scallop circle punch (the PINK one), punch out scallop circle on heavy cardstock. Then take verigated crochet thread and tape the thread end to the back of the cardstock. Come up at one of the grooves and count over (clockwise) 8 grooves. Wrap crochet thread around circle in this continuing skip 8 sequence until you come back to the original groove you started in. Makes a really striking "spiral" in just minutes. Tape the ending thread to the back of the cardstock and then add your spiral embellishment to a card or scrapbook page. ENJOY. I hope I described this properly, but if you have any questions, let me know. We made these at our monthly card swap over the weekend and I was so very impressed by how quick they were to make and how beautiful they turned out.:)

Wow, Lillian! I've got to try that. That would be such a unique embellishment on a card or scrapbook page. Thanks for the tip!

P.S. Lillian...If you have a photo of the finished embellishment, could you post it? I'm more of a visual learner...LOL!
Thanks!

Unfortunately, we fried the mother board on our home computer a few weeks ago, and won't have a replacement for several weeks. So can't scan anything until we are up and running again. But email me at work if you have any questions as you give it a try. It's really VERY simple once you get it going! My email is: lchild@mcgrathnorth.com

That sounds like a cool idea! You could do different solid colors and make them look like flowers.

I can sympathize about your computer. The power supply burned up in mine on Sunday. Luckily, I had a laptop that I could put my photo downloading software on, but like you, I don't have the use of my scanner or printer until the new power supply gets here.:( Thanks for the email address...if I get into trouble, you may hear from me...LOL!

;)This sounds neat -- but like Mary said, I really want to see :p
I may have to try though, just because I'm curious
