what are you all up to.

I hoped to be scrapping today - have a project on the go - TWINCHIES - they're 2" x 2" squares like 'inchies & ATC's' love doing them - current ones are on my likes and dislikes, but we have had a call from our Estate Agents that we have a viewing on our house tomorrow so it's cleaning time - I hate cleaning, love scrapping so have to pop in to my craft room every half hour or so to have a little play, makes life bearable don't you think :)

So what are you all up to?

heres some I made last month - love em

Those are adorable! I've heard of inchies before, but not these. How cute!

My sister Melanie are planning on crafting away this afternoon. Taking my hubby our for lunch for his b-day and then having a fun afternoon playing. Hope you have a fab day!:)

Just got in from taking my 1yr old grandson for a walk, the sun is shining and and I am sitting at my craft desk looking out over my garden and planning which project to attempt first. Trish :)

Those are really cute. Look so fun to make. I've never heard of those before. Funny though - I had this idea of making a little pocket album and making a little bag to put it in. Because NOTHING is ever safe in MY purse. I have to look first before I put my hand in there. :D

What am I doing today??? TODAY'S THE DAY!!! Creating Keepsake Scrapbook convention is in town - and that's where I'm headed in about 2 hours from now. Some of us gals are going to meet at our favorite "evil" store (discount tickets for the convention) and then go down the road a couple miles to the convention. Didn't take any classes - been there; done that; won't do again - but we're anxious to hit the trade show floor. Don't know what we'll find. Actually with the economy what it is, I've been trying to use what stash I have instead of adding to it. Sadly - I'll have to come home and work instead of playing with any new stash I might come home with :( But being GIRLS - we MUST do lunch before we all disperse for the day. We can't go anywhere or do anything without doing LUNCH. :p

Hope everyone's creations are WINNERS today! I'll give an "update" on anything new and fun I see at the convention.

I must say - I don't envy your having to SUPER clean up for every home showing. Outside of houses not selling - TOO MUCH STUFF keeps us from even thinking about moving.

We have soccer games this morning and a round-robin baseball scrimmage this afternoon -- so no scrapping for me today. Maybe tomorrow. -- Sheila

Your project is adorable! Hope your house sells quickly so you can get some scrapping done in peace!

I need two big gold embellishments for a scrapbook page so I think I'm going to use round, scalloped edged chipboard pieces and gold metallic thread and make spirograms. I'm also thinking of ordering the biggest Dazzles I can find.

Wow great Twochies, the girls also do thrinchies too now at Paper Follies ! :D

They drive me bonkers with all sort of swaps but I lov'em.

I hope you sell your house soon and that you get the desired price for it. Good Luck with that.

I promised Sandra I will create a tutorial for my paper weaving technique ( I mad a Birthday card for Dawn Bibby (http://craftingmad.blogspot.com/2009/03/woven-strips-stitched-birthday-card-i.html) using that technique ) so I'm off to create some samples and taking pictures as I go a long.

I use the HOTP Easy Stitch template for that so I'll let you know when the post on my blog is ready.

Apart from that I'm enjoying the SUN this afternoon in West London. Lovely breeze and the parrots (yep you read right) are coming and going all over our area.

Nice job --I have only heard of inchies and not too familiar with even those.

Fabyon does do a great job on his blog-- now if I only could remember to take a pic of the Christmas card I did and post it. (My husband took it before I could.)

We went to a Strwberry festival. They had rides, strawberries (of course) and lots of food. It was more fun than I anticipated. It's beautiful here too!

Working on a little Tip project for my Tip Album. Not my idea but I will give credit to who suggested in. I'm visual so I thought it might help others to see how it works....what is it....you'll have to visit my Tip album when I get it finished. I'll post and let everyone know.

It's rainy here in Dallas so a great day for crafting. My husband loves to watch golf on Saturday's and I love to work on something in my craft studio.

Love your twinches? I'm going to have to try them.

Ughhh - totally dragged out from the ck convention. I don't know if it was lunch afterwards, or all that walking and lugging goodies around. If you are into "well worn" paper look (Basic Grey, Cosmo Cricket) you will love "The Paper Loft" papers (they're coming on-line come Monday) They had a huge display, fell in love with their stuff. Of course that was right at the front door - spent most of my $$ not 2 feet into the show. Figures. Got some stitch Dazzels - the heart and butterfly, my lovely "evil store" had a booth with make & take cards (fun, fun, fun) and their Bazzill By-The-Box - as much cardstock as you could cram in a generous pizza box for $20. I stocked up on unopened packs of black, white and their scalloped paper. Stocked up on the new Basic Grey line, then we had to go back to the "evil" store where we got 15% off everything/anything.

The most educational aspect I came away with was stopping at the Cricut booth, and the demonstrator showed me specifically how to cut regular thickness chipboard on my BABY Cricut. Too cool. He showed me a trick for cutting that out if anyone is interested. There's a way to trick your original Cricut for cutting the chipboard. Saw more page kits than I've EVER seen before. We were exhausted - didn't even get through the entire convention floor. But that's okay, the longer I stayed, the more I spent. Outside of Bazzill-by-the-box, I think I was most impressed with The Paper Loft. ADORABLE little albums made from their papers, and all the add-ons to go with - or an entire kit WITH the album for 17.00 It's the heavy Basic Grey weight, most impressive. Prices were great. So if you have one of CK's conventions coming near you, and you like distressed paper - make that a number one stop.

Must work now - hope everyone had a wonderful day! I need a nap kids:(

Oh so jealous! I think the closest one coming this way is Houston or I could go north to Tulsa. Hmmmm, I'm going to have to look at going to one of these.

Holy Cats!!! these are about the cutest things I have ever seen! Now I know what to do w/ all those little ideas I have floating around in my mind but don't have a page to use them on! I've been too intimidated by the ATC's - self-imposed pressure to create a project. I'll be scrapping w/ my buddies next Saturday which will be a perfect time to intoduce Twinchies. Holy cats, am I ever excited!!! Oops- there I go w/ the exclamation points again. Thanks so much for sharing!!

I"ve seen her twice and every time I tear up ! So glad she has an audience for her special gift. I'll buy her CD if she ever release one.

I found a snipper of her singing 'cry me a river' and it's brilliant.

Fabyon, love your site. Thanks for sharing. I was thinking of scrappers and cardmakers like you when I was at the Creating Keepsakes Show. All their announcements were directed to "Ladies" and I couldn't help wishing they would use more inclusive language!

Yep, you have a point! My son goes to shows with me, and has done some scrapping. He even went to a "girls" retreat with me. Of course, he was the star of the show, and loved all the female attention. He would have been 13 at the time. And the convention I go to every year I do see men, and I know a few men scrappers too. My dad and my son are going to a crop with me this weekend too!

Yes, I had almost convinced my husband to go with me and I couldn't help thinking about how he would have felt about those announcements.
