Weigh in here - which do you like better - the Scor-Pal or the MS Scoring Board? I'm considering getting a new board. I'm leaning toward the Martha Stewart because it has markings every 1/8 inch, but the Scor-Pal is pretty much a stndard as well. I have the Crafter's Companion but there are too many times when I need the full 12x12 space, and measurements other than what are on that one.

I like the MS scoring board - for the same reasons you already mentioned - I like the markings, I like the size guides available inside the little drawer on top...and the pull out thing to make envelopes with underneath as well!

The pull out thing is also great if you want to score a diamond shape as it creates an angle to line your paper against. I hope that makes sense..:o

I see that Stampin Up now has a scoring board - anyone tried that one??? I have the Scor Pal and I like it but I do run into problems once in awhile that the score lines aren't in the right place, I've never tried MS.

I have the MS and I like it for all the same reasons. The scor-pal is awkward if you need measurements it doesn't have.

I haven't used Scor-Pal. I have the Martha Stewart one & the Crafter's Companion one. I like the Crafter's companion for making envelopes & bows. Most other scoring is done on my Martha Stewart board and I like it very much.

Thanks everyone - sounds like MS is the winner!

Yes I did - I got it when HSN was having their craft day last week? week before? Haven't done a lot with it yet, but I'll be so happy to have it when I want to score something on the diagonal that is large, like a 12 x 12 or 11 x 11.

I love mine, and I'm sure you will too. Having the 1/8 in increments to score at really is handy.

FYI there is another new one on the market that has the 1/8" markings and also has a paper trimmer attached to it - made by Making Memories if you're interested. I just stayed with the MS...

Seems like that would be cumbersome to work with, but maybe not. A lot of people think that of an ATG, and it's not. But I think I will stick with what I have too.

Thank you, ladies. I've been thinking of adding another scoring board to my tools. I really like my Crafter's Companion but there are times when its a bit awkward to use. I've seen MS's on HSN & was wondering just how much use I'd get from it. I'm sold now thanks to all your comments. Judi
