:)My girlfriend gave me this tip on how to save $$ on craft paper. I haven't done it as of yet because I have a ton of paper already on hand. But she makes many cards of this type of paper..."DRUM ROLL PLEASE"~~~WALLPAPER~~~ She says go to your local wallpaper store and ask for their old wallpaper books. Some of the paper she uses as borders and she really likes to cut out the big flowers to add to her cards. Some of the wallpaper has texture which is a plus.So if there are some of you crafters out there that are strapped for $$ :( you might try this tip so you can continue to make your cards or scrapbooks. :)~Sandra~:)

You make me smile because I've done that just recently. I can't really mention it yet as it's for a Design/Reporter job. But it's a great idea ! Especially if you get wallpaper in paper and fabric you can use them both for texture.

Just an FYI, not to be a downer, but you have to becareful as a lot wallpaper is not acid free. If you are using it for cards...no big deal, but just make sure you either use Archival Mist on it or put a buffer layer of acid free paper if you are using it on your scrapbook pages.

I have used it by scanning the paper and printing it out and using the scanned image instead of the actual paper.

Excellent point. The same is true of using concert tickets, programs, etc. It is better to use a scanned and printed picture or to isolate it or spray it than risk it ruining the page. TFS!

Oh Sandra you've brought me right back to my childhood...we used to cover our schoolbooks with wallpaper!! lol My mother's cousin had a shop & we got the old books, we used to fight over the nicer papers. We were the envy of the other kids at school, we were so proud of them.
