Just wanted to let everyone know - Huston is working on the SPAM issue we have been having of late; please bear with this problem as am sure he will have a resolution in place soon!

I'll keep you guys posted. We should have a good solution for stomping them out soon.

Quick update: New system is in place. We will be testing it and tweaking it as the week goes on.

Did you have to update the VBulletin version ? Or do they have an extra plugin in place...they're so annoying, also don't these forum have a 'no follow' tag automatically applied to links so that they don't get any benefit page ranking wise ?

The forums are still crawled by search engines, so the links would probably generate some search engine rankings. That would probably be their main reason for hitting our site.

I haven't changed our Vbulletin version, but I have added additional plugins and countermeasures. So far, it seems to be stopping them.
