9 am - working at 10 am.
Just been doing a little bit of crafting/scrapping - and was thinking, what 'different' type of things do you put or do on LO's?
I 'burned' - yes, really burned - the edges of this LO. BE very careful if you decide to do it - I found that the cardstock went up in flames - quite easily :(
but I liked the end result.
Share some of your ideas? BTW if anyone wonders the title and lyrics belong to the Beatles song.

This is stunning! Burning, huh?
I have a burning kit of sorts and haven't found the time to figure it all out. You have inspired me to dig it out and try something new.

Love the LO Gilly, you're so creative. I love that burned look - though I'm too chicken to try it. I use 2 different stamp pads to achieve the look. I love to use song lyrics in layouts. They're meaningful, and songs play a big part in my emotions. This is really cool.

Cool! I'm always on the lookout for something different but my patience and skill level don't support that kind of innovation.

Great LO and the burning is amazing. I won't attempt it as I have not that much hair anyway so I know I'll set fire to it quite easily by mistake ! LOL

Yeah - try explaining THAT one to the insurance company, heh? I would hope the adjuster is a scrapper and would understand. :p

LOVE the layout. I don't think I'll try it, though. I don't want to be accused of causing a wildfire in my area. I don't think the firemen are scrappers. Judi

Ive been a thinking. maybe I was a bit irresponsible to 'burn' this LO - I hope you'll not think bad of me. I did ensure that I was right by the sink and water when I did it - I wasn't in my scrapping room. :)

Very cool layout. And brave of you to do the burning, I don't think I have the guts, or trust myself enough to not just end up destroying the whole thing. Song lyrics are a great idea for titles. I always get through my layout and leave the title for last and then get stuck, because I have no idea what to title the page.

LOL I did this with one of my layouts--a long time back. You sure have to be quick and also, like you said, have water near by. The one I did was burned from the inside---that was the last time. I don't want to attempt that again!

I have a girlfriend that doesn't do cards or scrapbooking but she is a professional photographer. She does weddings mostly and sometimes graduation pics. She has done this burning technique on large wedding pics and then matted them. WOW,she does some beautiful work. She does something to the pictures that makes them looked curled in certain spots. It really looks nice on corners. I haven't tried this technique.I might try it if I see it done by someone else.:) ~Sandra~

On my friends site she does not have any of the burnished pics. She says they don't show up so well  so she does not put them on there.I have seen them in person though and they are beautiful.I will try to get her website as I have forgotten the address. She takes beautiful pictures of interesting things. My grandson told her he liked spider webs. She went out in the early morning and found a web with the dew still on it and the spider in the middle. She gave him that picture.WOW,it was sooooo beautiful!!!! :)
