Hi Everyone,

Here is a B-day card I made for my oldest daughter. She loves tulips. I used Cricut to cut out the flowers, grass, ladybug, bee and butterfly. I used the MCPT (magic color pencil tecnique) to color and shade the tulips and grass. A little stickles here and there and some glossy accent for dimension. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking.

What an awesomely beautiful card! :)
What is the MCPT, the magic color pencil technique? Your shading really sets it apart!

MCPT - This technique uses Prisma color pencils (because they have more wax in them than most) and odorless mineral spirits. You can outline or color in the color of choice and then use a blending stump (which is paper tightly wound together, they can be found in the artist dept of your local carft store. Dip the blending stump in the odorless mineral spirits and start pulling the color to the center of the item you are coloring. It blends beautifully. Experiment with color combinations for highlighting and shading and you have a beautiful colored element. You can go out on YouTube.com and type in MCPT or Magic Coloring Pencil Technique it will bring up a demonstration.
