I have been using HOTP for scrapbooking for years and just love their products. I receive the scrapbooking monthy kits which I love to receive and to scrap. However, I do miss the Idea books ( I have all that they have ever published on scrapbooking). The first one I bought is about to fall apart but I still look though it when I am stuck for ideas. It is also fun to look back through the first books to see how much scrapbooking has changed over the years. The best are the ones titled "Making (Great, Brilliant etc) Scrapbook Pages" Love, love them.....:

Yes, I know what you mean. I think between my sister and I we probably have them all too. And I love looking back through them.

I get most of my inspiration from blogs these days. You get lots of different ideas of how to use the same stamp, layout etc, especially with challenges.

You will also get tons of new ideas when people start posting their layouts & cards on this board. Lots of scraplifting will be going on!

I agree blogs are great and I have many of them on my bookmarks especially for Cricut designs. However, it takes a lot of time to go through them to get ideas and much easier to have a book. I wish I had the creative gene that so many scrapbookers and cardmakers have but regretfully I have none. Can't tell you how many idea books I do have but I like the HOTP books the best.

Try a sketch book. You can get them for both cardmaking and scrapbooking. It is basically a map of a layout and you just Insert your own papers and embellishments. It is amazing how many ways you can use the same layout by just changing the direction of it or the papers etc.
