I need to make a birthday card for my Mom and one for a two-year old - talk about completely different ends of the stick - an 85 year old woman and a two-year-old boy! Should be fun....

sorry to sound so boring - ATC's !!!! I can't get enough of them, I wonder when it will be where I shall feel physically sick when I think about them or see them or someone mentions them - cos I am making a lot !

Got some cardstock and picked up my pic from the photo lab today, and I intend on doing my swap card tomorrow. After that, who knows?

I hope to find a really good movie on tv. Hopefully a good murder movie, sipping a large glass of Pepsi & working on July's card making kit. Can some one tell me what kirigami is? I've never heard of it. Is it hard to do? Love the looks of the card & can't wait to make it but need a little more info first. Thanks for the help. Judi

I don't know if I'd ever heard of it either, but I've never seen it done. Looked it up, and this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirigami) is what it is. Looks interesting, but I don't think it's something I'm too keen on trying. I'm not that good at origami to begin with. My hubby plays around with it some, mostly doing the ones out of dollar bills. He's left elephants, frogs and hearts as tips in restaurants.

What a fun idea for a tip!

We also know this couple that does different balloon animals and such. They will make a flower and put it on a long stem and put it in a coffee cup. Then they tuck dollar bills in the flower petals. They also make animals for the kids sitting nearby. They see the flower and just kinda gravitate to the table to see what's going on. Then they end up leaving with their own balloon animal made specially for them. You should see the kids faces light up! :)

I think maybe the Kimono (sp?) in the webisode Engineered cards 2.. would fit this category??? It has the cuts to form the sleeves.. not sure though if it would be considered kirigami. I know its a VERY cute card if you like the Asian theme...

What a lovely idea ! I have left a butterfly (only origami thing I can do) out of the table napkin in a restaurant.

Wahoo! Finished my July swap card! Went to Melanie's for a bit, and we both worked on our cards. Nice to have mine done, and will be out in the mail in a few days.

I liked the sketch idea for August so much that I am in the process of making 2 anniversary cards following the sketch.I actually already have my swap card done for August.Yes,I know it's a bit early but I thought I'd have problems with it since I'd never followed a sketch before. But after fooling with colors of paper and doing the placements of items,I think it turned out great!!! It's a little busy but the colors I chose are from my latest purchase from PW and they all work together. You all will just have to wait to see it next month.I ain't gonna give ya'all any more info!! :D:p;)
