Hi All,

I am trying to figure out what size paper and llines to use on The Enveloper that would make an envelope for a Paper Wishes standard size card (6.5 x 5.0).

I've tried several different sizes and lines but nothing seems to get close enough to the size I need. Has anyone else figured out what to use? If so, I'd sure appreciate knowing. I've made several 6.5 x 5.0 cards and purchased paper to make envelopes that would match.

Thanks for reading this post.

I have the enveloper and the multi-score. Love them both. Found envelope sizing was confusing until I made a sample envelope of each size (out of scrap papers that I would never use). I then punched a hole in the top left corner, inserted an eyelet and placed all on a large ring. I also labeled each envelope with a sticky note as to the size of the paper and the "grooves" used to make it. When I need a custom envelope now I make my card, hold it to an envelope that it would fit and all my info is there for me. That made it easier for me, but it takes a bit to make all the envelopes and set up the ring. But on second thought, it made for good practice using the enveloper as well. Hope this helps.

What a terrific idea. I have the enveloper also but haven't used it too much yet. I will definitely make reference envelopes too. Thanks for the tips...

TanyaT would it be possible for you to measure the size of the finished envelopes from your samples you made and put them together with the line letters you used for that size and post them on this board?

For example, I figured out that to get a 5 x 5 envelope you need to use an 8 3/8" square piece of paper and use E E lines.

If you can, I think a lot of people would be helped.

Thanks for any effort you can give. :)

I made one that was just a little large, but you can adjust a little on it to make it work...
I used a 9X9 square and lines D and F -- The adjustment will need to be on line D -- make it slightly shorter if need be.

Thanks for the great tip! Now I can make a sampler & not have to get more gray hair than I already have trying to figure it out. Love the silly thing but not trying to figure out sizes. The only thing I'm still having trouble with is making the envelopebox. I will master that one yet. For some reason F & G don't intersect where they're suppose to. Will have to play with it some more. If any one's figured it out, please help. Judi

Ok... I did the math and then see the answer is already posted!

I got the same measurments so at least my math skills haven't faded too much yet. Ha! Not a waste as I made a 5 x 5 card today and made the envelope, too! I can attest that it works.
