This is the first time I have posted on here so please ignore all that I am probably doing wrong. I am desperate enough though that I needed to try and get some help. I belong to the Cardmakers Club & was working on a special card for my son who is getting married. The card is from the August 09 collection & is named "True Love Card" in one example and "True Love tri-panel Card" in another. I am so confused. I cannot figure out how to do it for the life of me. I did do the "custom shape:tri-panel card" correctly but am lost from there. I pasted the two plain sides of the heart with the Brad Buddie on the two front panels but am at a loss to figure out where to go from there...where the transparencies are supposed to go. I think I had a problem with another "tri-panel" card in the past & just gave up on it so maybe it is all wrong in my thinking of how to do it correctly. Would sure appreciate any help. I wanted this to be so special and am afraid I have already messed it up too much. =( TIA for anyone who can help.

Oops..am looking at the bottom here and realizing I don't even know how to post. What is a tag? Will try to just post this and then go looking for the proper way to do things. Sorry, everyone. I am sure a newbie at this.

Hi Judie,

It looks like you were able to post just fine. Welcome to the Message Board!

Since I haven't been getting the cardmaker's selections I can't help you with your card, but the folks on this MB are very helpful and I know several are getting those selections. I'm sure someone will step up to help you soon.

Thanks, all. I will try the suggestion of customer service. I feel like such a dummy. Think I am going to have my hubby check it out before I do that though. He is so smart. I have never asked him for help on a card before but I'm not too proud! lol He may just look at it and see what I am doing wrong. Hope so.

Judie welcome to the forum and a TAG is a field where you put words that correspond to what you've posted. It helps people when they search. So you could put: Personal Shopper Card, Tri-fold, True love. It's totally optional though.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks to both of you....for your welcome & the offer to help. I have been sick all day so haven't been on here much or done any cardmaking at all. Did have hubby look at it though last night & he couldn't figure it out either. Made me feel a little better as he is a "master of all trades" & can fix just about anything. Of course he has not had much experience in making cards. lol

Judie, I haven't forgotten about you! Last night I was having computer issues, and today I am spending most of the day wit my one sister who is recovering from major surgery. I will try to get to it tonight.

I found this but I don't know if that's the same tri-fold card type you have on your PS kit.

Not a problem at all. Just read where you are from Southern Michigan. I am from Northern Michigan but live in TN now. Big change in climate. Hope everything is going well for your sister.

Hi Judie, I live in Northeast Tn. What part of Tn do you live in. This is a great board to be on.

Judie, I belong to the cardmaking club also, and had trouble with the same card! I flubbed it up also, and just wound up making it as I wanted, because I could not figure out the directions! To me it wasn't worth getting frustrated over, this is supposed to be FUN! I kept trying and trying, but the directions were not coming together for me. I wound up using all of the pieces, but just in a different way, and the card came together nicely. Nobody says you have to do it exactly as they say, especially when you can't understand what they are trying to say! LOL! You are not the only one that had trouble with that card. It has happened to me a few times in the kit, but not many. When it does, just feel free to follow your own instinct and do something a little bit different, think of it as a "growing" experience! LOL!
I hope you feel better!
Michelle

Judie, I looked at the instructions today and without actually doing the card I can't figure it out either. But like Michelle said, sometimes they just don't seem to come together like the instructions tell. Don't get frustrated and just do your own thing. I think more often than not I've changed the cards around a bit.

Where in Northern Michigan are you from? My family has traveled a lot up there, and I love it. My dad owns property in the country in the Petosky area. And I've traveled to the UP quite a few years in February for a retreat too.

Hi Robin, I am in NE TN too. In the Greeneville area. Are you familiar with that? Am off to try & digest what other posters have written in response to my card problem. Your's was the easiest one to answer so I picked you. I don't know yet how to differentiate as to who I am replying to. Things have been kind of crazy here lately & I am just getting back to this. Sorry, everyone!

Oh, I am so relieved to hear that I am not the only one who had trouble with that card. I have adjusted other cards in the kits occasionally but wanted this one to be especially nice. I will figure it out somehow or even make a different one. I still have two months to do something. I was just trying to get a little ahead. I have a new cartridge for my Cricut coming in some time this week so may just do something from there. I am new with the Cricut too so there is a lot of learning to do. Just listed some things on Ebay to sell & that was another learning experience. My brain is going into shut-down soon. lol

We lived about 30 miles east of the Mackinac Bridge. My husband taught at the university in the Soo. I am somewhat familiar with Petoskey as any major testing I had to have done was done there. It was like an hour and 45 minutes away so that was kind of a pain making that trip. I have Fibromyalgia among other health problems but that condition made the trip seem twice as long.

OK..as you can see I "talk" too much. I do need to check out the link that was given as my final try "to do the card right." lol I did write to customer service too as someone suggested but have not heard from anyone there....that I know of. =) I thank all of you for your posts & I apologize for not getting back here sooner.
