Do you mass produce your Holiday cards or make each one individually?

All of my cards are unique. I may like one card so much that I make another similar card, but something is always different on each card. I don't enjoy mass producing my work-it takes the fun out of it for me.

I am not sure if I could make 2 cards exactly the same or not - I guess I get bored too easily and want to use all of my toys!!!

and I agree with Mary Helen, it takes the fun out of it for me too!

Mine are all different!!!! I try to make the card with a certain person in mind... I get my list out and go down the list and try to fit each card to that person... for example, I have a niece who loves snowmen and each year I try to send her a snowman themed card...
Great question!!
God bless

Each of my cards tends to be different, as well. However, when I am working with a particular technique, I might make up a bunch of elements to use on my cards, rather than just doing one or two for my current projects. For instance, I might be working with stamps and make a bunch of focals with them for later use -- but they would all be at least a little different -- different colors, different arrangements, different images. Or I might be working with stitched dazzles and make up a bunch of them -- again, all different -- unless I figure I'll want several the same for a single card -- then I'll make up sets, but each set will be different.

Definitely individual cards....I may make similar ones, but I will always change up something on each...I, like Cheryl, may go ahead and stamp the same image several times while I have the ink and stamp out, but when coloring them, I will almost always change up the colors or I may mount the images on different papers. Since I almost never buy more than 2 sheets of the same paper (sometimes regretably so), it almost takes care of itself in that I HAVE to at least change up the papers. LOL I, too, take time to decide which card will go to each individual on my card list.

I think I've only done mine handmade twice, and they were all the same. Well, other than the one that got a little scorched by the heat gun! lol I'd like to get to the point of doing them all different, but that's pushing it right now.

Since I make for family and then make to sell, I do both. That's why I was hoping that Dazzles would come out with sheets of dupllicate items, or sheets of one single duplicated word or phrase. Thanks for asking!

I make each card individually b/c I enjoy the creative process and stretching beyond my comfort zone. I have made a set of cards that were all the same, but that was to give as a gift. I've found I don't like "mass producing" my creations - it is too much like work. I did the Christmas mingle swap and designing/creating the first page was a lot of fun, but by the time I was finishing them all up, I just couldn't wait to be done.

I make each individually. I lose interest quickly after one and always want to try something different. :)

All mine are different, I prefer making them that way, each one is made for a particular person and in a style I know they like. Trish:)

Penny, I felt the same way with the Christmas mingle, I kept going with the excitement of seeing the final project. The FAP mingle wil be the same. We'll create 5 identical FAPs, but then exchanging and creating the final project wil make it worth it!

I usually make a couple of designs and then mass produce - about 20 of each. One is usually more serious and the other more humorous or cute.
Penny & Mary Helen - I was feeling the same way making pages for Frosty & Twas the Night - the only reason I join those kinds of swaps is because I LOVE LOVE LOVE having the finished books! But I just wanted mine DONE too!
I hardly ever make the same of anything...I get on runs of doing birthday cards, perhaps, but they are always different. And I do the same thing with certain elements - I may stamp the same phrase on a scalloped oval, for instance, to use in different cards, but everything else on the cards ends up totally different.

I'm a lazy bum. OK, maybe just too busy during December. We order photo cards with a family Christmas picture and hand them out at December family functions. A few may even get mailed.
We're not doing professional pictures this year, so this year things may be different.

Each card is different. Sometimes I may make 5 cards the same and then move on to something different for the next. I get bored mass producing.

I like to make each one differently but as with the other girls some of them will be similar but never identical! The only time I've ever mass produce cards is for wedding invitations etc & to be honest I think I'm never going to get them finished! It gets so boring & becomes a chore!

I am not into mass producing either. I have purchased so many different papers and products in the last couple of months to make my cards that I almost don't know where to start. Once I get started though, look out!! I have 2 weeks vacation coming up and one will be devoted soley to card making.

I make each card individually. I love everything about the process of making cards and putting colors, embellishments, stamps, etc. together to come up with an idea .
As a side note, my grandchildren enjoy getting individual cards that I make especially for them on birthdays & Christmas as well as other special days during the year. For birthdays, I will find out the theme for the birthday party i.e. Elmo, Princess, etc. and then make a card with that particular theme in mind.

I hate mass producing things. Did that when I was doing craft shows. By the time I got one project done, I'd be ready to scream I was so bored. That was the little items, too. I like making each card different. That way each its own special little card so whoever gets it can say that's mine & mine only. Judi
