I'm reviewing the Cutterglide this month:

Just got it in under the wire. Already I had a negative comment about it ! With the person missing the point that all cutters will go blunt eventually (unless they are self sharpening - I haven't come across one yet !) so this product will prolong the life of the blades. Anyhoo article done ! ;)

Great article . . . my only concern . . . Did you use Vinces' toothbrush for the demo? ;)

I have this and used it just once on a pair of scissors and it worked great. I hadn't thought to use it on the blade of my cutter to extend their life.
I do have a question regarding using it on punches. I have a bunch of paper punches and wondered if you "paint" on the liquid on the edge of the cutout portion of the punch or on the part that goes into the cutout portion? Hope that makes sense. Many of my punches are not punching cleanly and I thought this may be helpful.
Interesting article. You're right about the lady missing the point. If replacing every five years.... that's what 50% off coupons are for. Replacing every few months.... need a product to maintain it.

I need some of this. I have two punches I have to bang on the floor to release the paper. LOL
good article as usual, Fab. I am going to look for this product, it sounds useful and if it gives me a few more uses out of a cutting blade sounds like a winner to me! TFS - Sam

Just apply on the punch were both bits of metal meet basically where they rub, I would just apply where the seam is and then push the punch a few times so it can get coated then leave to dry, the punch should be smoother to us. If not then paper glide from the same company might have a better result as it's for dry embossing so probably has more silicon on it, but it's a total wild guess. Someone wrote a while back about putting the punches in the freezer which seems a good idea as metal will retract slightly but I'm not sure about the plastic surrounding them if they take the thermal shock ....cold and then warm again so won't recommend this as it might crack and you'll end up with a useless punch.

LOL! I won't tell Vince either. I've tried the freezer thing but it didn't do anything. I've also tried wax paper but that didn't work either. If this stuff doesn't work, I'm assuming my punch has something wrong with it.

Great critique Fab!!! I would be interested in getting some of this for my punches... lol Like Karen I usually have to bang a couple of mine on the edge of my craft table to get them to "turn loose"......
Hope I can find this product locally in the states...
Don't let the masses get you down, my friend, what do they know... she probably works for Martha Stewart!!!!!!! LOL
God bless
