Hi AmOrcita, WOW was great! Given how inexperienced I am with cardmaking, it was wonderful to have a whole week of webisodes focused on that very topic! I'm also enjoying the swap because it gives me something specific to focus on, so I feel like I have a place to start. Have a great day!

Hi again! Thanks for the info. I've had the same trouble with glue sticks and glue runners and hadn't seen the tip about using glue sticks OVER a glue runner -- wonder if that will hold as well. If you try it, let me know how it well it works!

    Hi Cheryl,

I used a Glue Runner. Atlhough Paulette and Sara use glue sticks more often, I can't find one that sticks well (even from PW). The draw back to a glue runner is that you have to lay your paper down perfectly because you can't adjust it after. The PW website had a great suggestion that I plan to use in the future: Use a glue stick OVER a glue runner. The glue stick will allow you to readjust your paper; after the glue stick dries, the glue runner adhesive will then take over. I think its worth a try.

    Hi AmOrcita,
What kind of adhesive did you use to glue those papers together for your envelope invitation? So often I'm not happy with the results I get from that kind of thing, but yours looks like it turned out really nice.

Hi Cathy, I'm sorry to hear that you lost your aunt. That will be a hard album to do, I'm sure, but it will be so nice to have all those precious memories of your aunt in a nice album.
No, I sure don't consider myself an expert! I just love scrapbooking and making cards. I know what you mean about PW. They have everything an expert, beginner or anyone in between, could need to make great pages or cards. I've been using their products for years and the catalog has absolutely EVERYTHING!
    Have a good night

wow...EIGHT YEARS!!! That's great...you must be an expert. What I love about PW is that I can see how to grow. They provide so many techniques, templates and other tools that I know I'll only get better. Thanks for your encouragement. I'm working on a travel scrapbook for my MIL and a "In Memory" scrapbook for my aunt, who just died.

    Hi Cathy,
Scrapping your wedding is a good place to start scrapping for yourself. There are so many beautiful papers and embellishments for wedding pages, that it will inspire you to get that album going. check out PW, they have TONS of wedding stuff. I ordered their 8x8 wedding album and the cardstock and matching paper book. The book also has lots of embellisments included in it. There's enough in that book of papers to do 3 or 4 albums! I've also gotten their birthday and baby albums and matching papers in the 8x8 sets. I like to give that size as a gift. I've been scrapbooking and cardmaking for about 8 years now and I love it. I think it's about the best hobby there is.
    Have a great day, Cathy!
    Blessings,
    Mary
