I tried playing with the dimensional stencil paints yesterday. Some of the results are in my albums.

I think purple is the biggy non-traditional color this year....based on what I'm seeing in the stores...I think the purples are so pretty, but I struggle with it when it comes down to "using" it...what colors besides silver and gold will work with purple? Any suggestions?

I often see purple & blue for Christmas. While I'm not an expert, I think in the right setting, you could combine purple with many colors -- even red or green. In fact, I'm working on a card right now that has purple & green -- the focal is a flower with those colors. I often see purple & pink together. Yellow is another color that goes nicely -- they are complementary colors. Now, whether those combinations are good for Christmas cards . . .? I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

I think that is why I enjoy the PaperCutz Challenges so much . . . I like it when Mary gives us a color challenge - seems like you can make anything "go together" if you have too! This week it is blue, green, black & white. When I first saw it, I thought of a bruise, but it was easier than I thought.

Sounds good, especially like the purple and yellow combo...yellow is my favorite color. Thanks all. I'm off to see what purple papers I have.

I can't believe I've already made over 20 Christmas cards! Of course, with all the PW supplies, they go together pretty quickly.
