Default Please update your records for Flipper27a - Also please remove me from your groups !

I've just sent to everyone in the birthday lists the new details of flipper27a please check your inbox so you can change your records.

As for my participation in the b'day list groups, I've been thinking long and hard about this but I have no other option to pull out of the birthday list so please just delete me from your own group.

I've been spreading myself too thinly and despite Vince's advice (he knows me very well) I thought I was able to do it but I'm struggling. I also stepped down in another group I create and was running (Paper Follies) so I could dedicate myself more to HOTP message board and other projects I have but still I need to let go of the birthday list: by that I mean my participation, I'm still running it (it kinda run itself apart from address updates).

I just want to dedicate my time to running the b'day list and the swaps but have to learn I can't do it all as it affects my mental health when I realize I can't cope and that makes me depressed so I need to avoid this vicious circle of self-pity !

I hope you all understand and respect my decision as it wasn't easy. I'll be pulling from another birthday list I belong to in the UK too.

I hope you'll all have a glorious week,

X
Fab

I know this must have been a hard decision for you, Fab, and you will be missed! I wondered how you could do it all, I certainly couldn't!!! Thanks for all the work you put into these swaps. I have certainly learned a lot through my participation in them.

Post I totally understand...

I definitely understand what it means have too many irons in the fire or too many things on my plate.I have been so mentally over whelmed by life that I am downsizing on things that are putting pressure on me.I have decided for the time being to not do any swapping for the time being on The Message Board. I barely have enough time to make my homemade cards.I do check The Message Board everyday but I am not leaving many posts.I think I will eventually delete The Message Board from my everyday sites. Yes, I feel bad about this also. But I have to do what I can do to get through each and every day.I have to make my life a simple as I can under the circumstances.I suffer from depression so that should explain where I am coming from.Sandra

Fab, totally understand where you are coming from... I have had to cut back also... but only on the swaps! I couldn't make it without my crafting forums to keep in touch...
Hang in there... I hope things get better soon..
May God bless
Nyoka (PS... just cause you are dropping out, don't mean we have to take your name from the list.... so I figure you will get a few cards on your special day!! )

Sorry to see you do this Fab, but I certainly understand. You take care of yourself first and foremost!

It is getting to that time of year when we think everything should be happy and joyful and friends and family.... and those of us (and there are many more than anyone would guess) who suffer with depression and anxiety (not to mention obsessive compulsive disorder) just feel overwhelmed. Scrapping is my escape. My house is a mess. I'm going on a scrapbook retreat this weekend. Scrapping all night if I want to. We all have to do what works for us. Sometimes things can look better in a few weeks, sometimes it takes longer. My mother suffered from depression from 1952 til 2005. I grew up thinking that was "normal". She also had OCD. I think sometimes how much happier she and the rest of the family could have been if she had been diagnosed and treated properly all those years. Time to scrap.

Fab nothing is more important than your health, and especially your mental health, I have been down that road myself a couple of year ago I suffered a stroke and thankfully I fully recovered so do take it easy and look after yourself first.
